Suspicious Person Alert

 

A suspicious person was reported in the neighbourhood of Stanley Park School yesterday. No students were approached or spoken to, but a student felt the person may have been following them. Police were called and searched the neighbourhood, as well as speaking to the student. Local schools were informed as well. Students have been reminded of proper safety procedures such as walking with a friend, going to the nearest safe place (school, home, store, etc.) if they are approached, and always reporting to an adult.

We don’t know for sure if there was any intention to follow or alarm the student, but we do take these situations seriously, and act accordingly.
