Monday we start our BYOD Free Week. Students and parenst are aware. Devices will be taken, labeled and delivered  to the office if seen one after 8:30 on Monday December 1, 2014.

The Crime Prevention Council is going to donate 500 THINK Bands. The day we get our BYOD Policy back we will also give out the THINK Bands and be very, very clear on our expectations and consequences for not following the expectations. There will be no more warnings once we give the policy and THINK Bands back, date TBA.  Our Gators need to take better ownership for appropriate use of this privilege.

Crime Prevention Council is working with us to provide a presentation to each class prior to the holiday to talk about self regulation and Digitial Citizenship.

The WRPS will still come in on January 8 to do a Digital Citizenship presentation with regard to the law and predators and good choices etc.

I hope the combination of things will help out Gators to know that we embrace technology for learning and for social reasons, but that we have an obligation to education them on appropriate use and self regulation.

Thanks for your support in helping our community of learners move forward in an effort to improve well being, achievement and citizenship.
