As we continue to focus on providing a safe school and community for our students to learn it is important for our WRPS to be visible at Stanley Park. We have a great working relationship with the WRPS. This week we have asked for their support with several issues – some happen on the weekend, some off school property but involve our students, and some are related to information shared by our Gators with us at school. Whenever there is reason to involve or consult with our partners at WRPS we do so. We invite the opportunity for our students to see police in a collaborative, preventative, progressive and at times consequences based role.
Having the police at Stanley is not an indication that things are going poorly, rather that our students are openly sharing concerns with us that allow us to engage with police in a positive way. Please do not be alarmed – rather know that your students are safe and that we are on top of our youth and working collaboratively to keep all partners informed and held accountable.
Stanley Park School and our community are well supervised and supported by WRDSB staff and our WRPS partners.
