Last year our School Council discussed posting a note here in our Stanley Park website regarding the expectations for Grade 8 Graduation attire. We will send a letter in the spring with details about Graduation but the School Council thought parents would appreciate a few guidelines as the year begins for those who are early shoppers.

Graduation is a time of celebration – and although we respect and value our differences it is also a time to celebrate what brings us together.  Graduating from Elementary School is an honour and we celebrate with a graduation ceremony and dance for our Graduates.  Students are asked to dress appropriately for this special occasion (probably something different from their every day attire) but there is no expectation for grand attire.  Neat, clean clothes that may be used again for another occasion are appropriate.

We hope this helps in your understanding of our expectations for our Stanley Park Grade 8 Graduation at the end of June 2018.
