The new playground will be installed during the 1st week of school (Sept. 6th-9th).

Please see below for the general anticipated timeline for work:

August 16-19th          City of Kitchener Removal of Existing Equipment & excavation of surfacing, bench removal
August 22nd               Landscape Contractor assumes site for pathway, playground curbing & site works
August 29th                Play Equipment is shipped
Sept. 6th-9th              Play Equipment is installed
(The bench & bench pad will be re-installed at a later date by City Staff following the new playground installation.)

It is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure that the site is secured and safe – especially considering that they will be working adjacent to the school property and overlapping for the 1st week of school.
We will make announcements at school to remind students to stay clear of the construction zone.  We look forward to our new playground equipment. Thank you to the City of Kitchener for this community gift.
